Job Stories From Sullivan County, NY
Woodbourne

When Bob N. called to make the appointment for some work in the basement, we spoke for about 30 - 40 minutes to set an appointment. Mark and David arrived for the appointment and spent 5 hours determining what the homeowners were looking for. At first all they wanted was a bathroom and some walls finished. After learning what we do and why we do it, The home owner chose to make a new Master Suite. We created exactly what they wanted. We started fixing the leaks in the walls. Then onto finishing the walls with Everlast Insulated finished wall panels and Everlast Finished wall panels for interior walls. We installed Canyon Beige ThermalDry Tiles through most of the space and Grey ThermalDry tiles in the bathroom. We used the bright white Linen ceiling tiles that are warranted for 30 years. To make this space legal we installed the Rockwell Premier window well for the egress. We made a bathroom with a 5' shower stall, a comfort height toilet and a vanity, (picked out by the homeowner). We then made a large walk in closet the size of some peoples bedrooms. The stairs to the basement were unsafe and not easy to navigate, these were completely removed and replaced. The homeowner selected a mini split heating and cooling system to keep the environment comfortable all the time.

Basement Water Intrusion in Callicoon, New York

A homeowner in Callicoon, New York, reached out to us with a persistent issue of water intrusion in their basement. They noticed that whenever it rained heavily, their basement would flood, leaving the space, damp, musty, and unusable. Concerned about potential damage to their belongings and tired of the unusable space, the homeowner contacted us for a solution. After discussing that concerns with our Appointment Center, we scheduled a free basement inspection with one of our highly trained specialists. On the day of the inspection, our specialist arrived, met with the homeowner, and evaluated the basement. The inspection revealed that hydrostatic pressure was building up around the home's foundation, causing water to seep through any small openings, leading to the flooding. Understanding the root cause, our specialist devised a comprehensive plan to tackle the water intrusion problem effectively. The proposed solution included the installation of our WaterGuard system, TripleSafe sump pumps system, and SaniDry dehumidifier system. The WaterGuard system was to be installed around the perimeter of the basement to capture and direct any water into our TripleSafe sump pump system. The TripleSafe sump pump system with its three layers of protection, will collect and discharge the water out of the basement and away from the foundation. To ensure the basement remain dry and free from moisture, mold, or mildew particles, we also recommended installing a SaniDry dehumidifier system, which is designed to create a healthier environment. After discussing the repair options with the homeowner, they were eager to proceed with the installation. On the scheduled installation day, our production team, led by a highly trained Foreman, arrived and efficiently installed the proposed system. The result was a basement, that no longer leaked during rainstorms and remain completely dry and usable, regardless of the weather conditions. The homeowner was thrilled with the transformation. They now have a dry, healthy basement, free from the worries of water damage space.

No More Crawl Space Floods in Callicoon, new York

A homeowner in Callicoon, New York, reached out to us with concerns about their crawlspace, which seem to flood every time it rains, creating a nasty, moldy, unusable space under their home. The homeowner called us and discussed their concerns with our Appointment Center, who then scheduled an inspection with one of our highly trained specialists. On the day of the inspection, our specialist arrived, met with the homeowner, and performed a thorough inspection of the crawlspace. The inspection revealed significant water intrusion issues due to the home's location in an area with a high-water table. After understanding the cause of the flooding, our specialist designed a comprehensive solution to address the crawlspace issues. The proposed solution involved encapsulating the crawlspace using our CleanSpace vapor barrier system, sump pump system, and SaniDry dehumidifier system. The process began with placing a layer of drainage matting over the dirt floor to control and direct the flow of any water entering the crawlspace. To prevent water or moisture from entering, we installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier system over the drainage matting, creating a clean, dry, bright and usable space. To ensure the crawlspace remain dry, we installed our sump pump system, which collects any water that flows under the drainage matting and discharges it out and away from the home. Additionally, we recommended our SaniDry dehumidifier to remove moisture, mold, or small mildew particles from the air, ensuring a healthy and safe environment. After reviewing the proposed solution with the homeowner, they gave us the green light to encapsulate their crawlspace. On the day of the installation, our production team, led by a highly trained Foreman installed the plan our specialist created. The end result was a crawlspace that was clean, dry and usable, and homeowner who no longer had concerns about their crawlspace.

Basement Water & Mold Issues in Mountain Dale, New York

A homeowner in Mountain Dale, New York, was dealing with the basement that constantly flooded during heavy rain storms, this was causing significant water damage and mold growth in their basement environment. This was limiting the homeowner to how much of their basement they could use, while creating an unhealthy environment. Concerned about their families health and the need for more usable space it was time for them to get their basement issue resolved for good. The reached out to our appointment center, who scheduled them for a free inspection with one of our highly trained specialists. Our specialist showed up on the day of the inspection and inspected their basement issue. After the inspection our specialists determined that their foundation was leaking due to hydrostatic pressure that was building up around the foundation of their home, forcing any water around the foundation into any openings in the foundation. Our specialist recommended they have our basement waterproofing system installed which consist of our TripleSafe sump pump system, our WaterGuard system, and our SaniDry dehumidifier system.  The way our system works is by our crew first coming in and jackhammering a trench around the perimeter of the basement so that they can install our water guard system. After the WaterGuard system is installed in the trench is gets concreted over and connected to our TripleSafe sump pump system. Our WaterGuard system is designed to capture any water that tries to enter the basement and directs it into our TripleSafe sump pump system, which then discharges the water out the basement and away from the home. The TripleSafe system comes with three pumps, the primary pump, which handles most of the work, the secondary pump kicks on if the primary becomes overwhelmed with water or if the primary were to fail, and the last pump is our battery back up system. This pump will kick on and continue to remove water from the basement even if the home lost power during a power outage. Now that the water intrusion issue was handled, it was time to tackle the mold issue, we installed our SaniDry dehumidifier, which is designed to remove moisture, mold, and small mildew particles from the air, creating a healthy environment. After our specialist went over the repair options with the homeowner they gave our crew the green light to install the proposed plan our specialist created. After the installation our production team reviewed the final installation with the homeowner and they were thrilled to have a dry, usable, healthy basement again.
