Understanding the Benefits of WaterGuard

Water intrusion in basements can cause a host of problems, including mold growth, structural damage, and unpleasant odors. One of the most effective solutions for preventing basement flooding is our WaterGuard system. This blog will explain what the WaterGuard system is, how it works, and why it's a better choice for keeping your basement dry.

What is the WaterGuard System?
The WaterGuard system is an interior drainage system designed to capture water intrusion before it can enter your basement. Unlike traditional French Drains, WaterGuard gets installed just below the floor slab and around the perimeter of the basement. This design ensures that water is captured and directed away from the basement before it can even enter the basement.

How Does WaterGuard Work?

The installation of our WaterGuard system begins with our crew coming in and jackhammering a trench around the perimeter of the basement. The WaterGuard system is then placed into the trench and backfilled with gravel and covered with a new layer of concrete. As water seeps through the foundation walls or floor, it enters our WaterGuard system, which is then directed into our sump pump system and discharged out and away from the home.

Why Choose WaterGuard?

1. Effective Water Management: WaterGuard is designed to capture water seepage before it enter the basement, ensuring that your basement remains dry and usable. Our interior system provides a more effective and less disruptive solution than exterior waterproofing.

2. Minimal Invasive Installation

Installing the WaterGuard system is less invasive than exterior waterproofing methods. The installation process is quick and efficient, with minimal disruption to your home and landscaping. This makes it an ideal choice for homeowners looking for a dry, usable basement without excavating their property.

3. Compatible with Sump Pumps
Our WaterGuard system is designed to work hand in hand with our sump pump systems. As water enters our WaterGuard system it is directed into our sump pump system, which then removes the water from the basement and discharges it outside and away from the foundation.
